At this critical time in our country, as well as our local and global communities, it’s vital that Isagenix and Zija uphold the same high standards of excellence and ethics that have helped our brand stand the test of time and remain highly respected. We are here to help you maintain the delicate balance of managing the COVID-19 issue with the least amount of impact on your businesses.
That’s why it is imperative Isagenix and Zija Associates continue to heed and acknowledge corporate guidance and reminders as we continue to protect our brand, products, and opportunity -- now and always. We want to be very clear and reiterate the important message we’ve shared previously -- it is not only wrong and violates our compliance policy, but it is also illegal to make curative claims about Isagenix and Zija products and Coronavirus.
Isagenix CEO Travis Ogden has reminded Associates on multiple occasions over the past few weeks of the expectation and mandate, “Our product claims cannot ever be interpreted to treat, cure or prevent this virus or any medical condition. Furthermore, our Associates are prohibited from referencing on social media or presentations, in-person or by electronic means – ‘COVID-19’, ‘global virus’, ‘pandemic’ or ‘Coronavirus’ in connection with Isagenix and its products or Zija and its products.”
As Travis has shared on these daily update videos, the Isagenix compliance team has been monitoring for violations using the terms “COVID-19,” “global virus,” “pandemic,” or “Coronavirus” in inappropriate ways, and have been working to resolve any issues immediately. As also clearly communicated in these videos, Associates are prohibited from using hashtags, including but not limited to, those referencing the Isagenix or Zija business or Isagenix or Zija products in any statement that also references COVID-19 or Coronavirus, and vice versa.
We recognize that these kinds of improper social media posts and communications can often times be unintentional when we are all trying to help each other in a time of need; however, the Isagenix and Zija reputation is owned and enjoyed by all of us, so we must all protect it and continue to operate our businesses responsibly and respectfully.
