Isagenix Raises More Than $150,000 for Make-A-Wish® in Three Days
Isagenix® raised more than $150,000 for Make-A-Wish® in three days at its 11th annual Celebration event August 3-6, 2013 at The Mirage Hotel & Casino.
Now in its second year sponsoring the world’s largest wish-granting organization, Isagenix hosted an early-morning workout with the Savage Girls, an elite group of fitness professionals; sold limited-edition bracelets, and held a live action where an 18-week customized coaching program, a private Belize retreat, a Cabo getaway, and a golf and spa outing with Isagenix Co-Founders Jim and Kathy Coover were raffled off. There was also a designated table where Associates and employees could donate to the cause.
All of these efforts resulted in more than $150,000 in donations for Make-A-Wish, bringing the total amount raised for Make-A-Wish to $818,000 since Isagenix first began sponsoring the organization in 2012. All proceeds will help turn wishes into reality for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Isagenix Senior Director of Field Development Erik Coover said while the numbers are staggering, the most important result of the fund-raising efforts is the impact the donations will make on the lives of children.
“Isagenix is committed to transforming lives across the globe and it starts with kids,” shares Coover. “It’s an honor to sponsor such an incredible organization and help grant special moments that provide hope and healing for wish kids and their families.”
In addition to raising funds for Make-A-Wish during its annual event, Isagenix also gave attendees a glimpse at how their individual contributions help children with life-threatening medical conditions by hosting Nevada wish kid Tayler and her family on stage at the event. Make-A-Wish said the donations provided by Isagenix Associates and employees will go a long way in granting wishes.
“Isagenix has been a wonderful supporter of Make-A-Wish for two years, and during that time, they have raised an amazing $818,000 which helps bring us closer to our vision of someday granting the wishes of every eligible child,” said David Williams, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America. “Just as they are committed to changing lives through healthy habits, we’re committed to changing lives one wish at a time.”
